National Day! ... preview

Hi! It has been a long while since i last blogged. Hee, went to the national day preview last evening and tot i 'll juz share 3 photos. pathetic and unclear... coz my lousy k700 is only 1 mega pixels... hahaa... oki.. the parade was really messy as the formations can only be seen better if u have a helicopter's view... (which was why there was a helicopter hovering over us... and making the air stink) Kaira Gong was oki with her song; chen wei lian sang "xiao ren wu de xin sheng" which was not bad... the malay superstar winner sang the children's day song.. hehee... the crowd was great! the fireworks were great! the company was great! :P

the highlights of the show i guess would be the parachuters... the first 3 landed on a very small target in the middle of the stadium field (the 2nd one missed a little) - he probably needs to practice a few more times before the actual performance on 9th aug. following these 3 parachuters were 12 others where some landed quite fast.

It was funny that they simulated the arrival of our PM with some guy all dressed in white but nv see his face b4. then mr president became mr speaker (speaker of parliament-mr abdulla tamugi)? sorrie if i spelt wrongly. the contingent was great! with losta combat soldiers in their disguise forming '2006'!

The goodie bag was oki.. except that mine leaked pu-er chysanthemum tea.. Eeeks... which i think coz some1 stepped on the bag and hence the packet drink burst! :( The two clappers (where u had to blow air into it yourself) is lousy.. even though it was sponsored by quite a few companies including dsta. After clapping for a very long time with both of them, they all 'lao4 hong1'! hehehee...

Guess that is all about the parade. Performance wise, i liked the purple people armed with a big light prop best... though it would have been better if some ppl didnt on the wrong light.. which was pretty obvious... hahaa... but good job to all the performers... i believe lotsa effort has been put into this. :)

Before the marching in:

After the marching in: (wah! by the time they marched in.. the sky was dark already. haha)The fireworks: (which was not only at the end of the show.. but also in the middle of several performances... we are getting more high tech. nx time.. we might even get fireworks in pre parade shows!) - the rest of the fireworks were nicer.. but i was too busy enjoying them to take pics. haha!

Benevolent Analyst

You are an Analyst

Your attention to detail, confidence, sense of order, and focus on functionality combine to make you an ANALYST.

You are very curious about how things work, delving into the mechanics behind things.

Along those lines, how well something works is usually more important to you than what it looks like.

You find beauty and wonder mainly in concrete, functional, earthly things.

You are very aware of your own abilities, and you believe that you will find the best way of doing things.

Accordingly, problems do not intimidate you, as you believe in yourself.

You trust yourself to find solutions within the boundaries of your knowledge.

You don't spend a lot of time imagining how things could be different—you're well-grounded in the here-and-now.

It is important for you to follow a routine, and you prefer the familiar to the unknown.

You're not one to force your positions on a group, and you tend to be fair in evaluating different options.

You prefer to have time to plan for things, feeling better with a schedule than with keeping plans up in the air until the last minute.

You tend to believe that things happen for a reason, and that not everything is under our control.

If you want to be different:

Try to embrace the imaginative, creative part of your personality more often.

Try moving beyond the things that you find comfortable—open yourself up to a broader range of experiences.

how you relate to others
You are Benevolent

You are a great person to interact with—understanding, giving, and trusting—in a word, BENEVOLENT

You don't mind being in social situations, as you feel comfortable enough with people to be yourself.

Your caring nature goes beyond a basic concern: you take the time to understand the nuances of people's situations before passing any sort of judgment.

You're a good listener, and even better at offering advice.

You're concerned with others at both an individual and societal level—you sympathize with the plights of troubled groups, and you can care about people you've never met.

Considering many different perspectives is something at which you excel, and you appreciate that quality in others.

Other people's feelings are important to you, and you're good at mediating disputes.

Because of your understanding and patience, you tend to bring out the best in people.

You spend a lot of time taking care of others, but don't forget to take care of yourself!

Sometimes you can get overcommitted, and when you sacrifice spending time with those close to you, it can make them feel unimportant.

first day of work... oOps but its only temp job

Hello, it has been long since wrote an entry. well, that's coz i m too busy slacking at home. hahaa...oki anywae, went for a temp job this morning and worked from 9-6pm. considerably hectic job as the job scope is to service walk in customers as they send in their pda phones for repair. well... all i can say that i learnt from this job so far is... DUN buy DxPxD phones.. (i have to protect the brand of the phone else it would be unethical) if u haven heard of them well good for you. but i think u might hav seen their advertisements on trains...wanted to put a picture here but decided against it (dun wanna be involved in anything illegal)! haha!

This job was very last minute as the agency only rang me at 730pm on tue evening and requested that i start work the nx day which is today at 9am. luckily i have some very humorous collegues, so it didnt make the day boring. However, i think i will most probably be working until sat only. hahaa.. will update on the reason for this short assignment soon. hee~ (actually nth much lar... juz trying to diao4 my reader's appetite and keep them guessing. wahaha.. dun think too much) :)

The irony of the day is that... the moment i got myself a temp job which i so desparately wanted last week but only got it today, is that many other agencies called me today with temp jobs!! zZz.. so sickening.. murphy's law man! but seriously i think i will get quite sian if i worked here for a long period of time, mainly becoz the customers are not alwaiz easy to deal with. they are already super pissed off with their laopok 1k plus pda phone. how much smiling at them doesnt help much. hehee~ today received tons of phonecalls man! i think my phone rang about 8 times. haha! record of the year! oki. thats abt all i wanna say now. til the nx entry. tataZ!

p/s: i think i update my blog quite frequently compared to most others. and dunno what happened to lh's first day of work entry. it disappears, appears, and now disappeared for good. haha!
