home made sushi!

It is yet another day at home! Hence i decided to make sushi. hehee.. There's maki rolls, egg sushi, salmon sushi and ham and cucumber sushi! yummy yummy! but the egg and salmon is bought. wahaha...

Alumni Dinner

haha.. my 2nd post of the day. Aniwae, was looking thru' the stuffs i received when collecting the dress and saw this invitation to the Alumni Dinner on the 22nd July (Sat) which costs $30 (includes $20 F&B vouchers) don't ask me what vouchers they giving, i wanna know also. was jus wondering whether any1 knows whats this dinner about and any1 interested in going? haha.. if go, must go in a big group mah. :) It's at suntec city guild house btw...

Academic Dress

Just went to MPSH1 this morning to collect the academic dress... SOOOO fast, graduating le. Last time used to see ppl carry this big bag of thing now its finally moi turn.

The collection was quite systematic. Even though it is not my scheduled day to collect, I was still able to collect the dress w/o much difficulty. Payment is on the spot and 2 invitation cards as well as the Alumni card is issued to you on the same day too. The arrangement of collection reminds me of matriculation which coincidentally is also held at MPSH1. There are like cashiers and counters for different purposes. MPSH1 is really a good place for big events. matriculation, career fair, collection of dress as well as examinations! luckily, the commencement ceremony is not held at MPSH1. ><

Engineering's hood colour is gold and white, which is comparably nice. There's smtg i must comment though. It is advisable that after you get your dress and wanna try it at home, on the fan or aircon.. it's terribly warm in it!!! And, I dunno how to place the hood so that it rests nicely behind. It somehow seems a bit too long and big. hahaa! mayb some1 can yan2 jiu1 when he/she is free and let me know. haha!

Anyway, I think I look fat when i wear the gown. I still think its big. but what2do, XS is the smallest size!! hahaa!! soo exciting, finally graduating le, after like 4 years of "hard work" :) now looking forward to the commencement in July. Although it's surely going to be v boring, I'm sure it will be one experience! it's a once in a lifetime thing! (I hope the aircon is strong, I don't wanna be perspiring).

So for all you working coursemates out there, you can collect your dress at any time, any day. Sat is open from 9am - 4pm. Btw, why don't they call it a gown instead, think it sounds nicer than a dress. Heehee... oh and it wasn't very crowded. Be prepared to be stalked by ppl from the various studios asking u to sign up for their graduating photo package and there is also a stage photo where they will take a picture of you on stage receiving the degree. What good money! haha... hMm.. let's see what else have I left out.... Oh yup, you get a free can of drink at the end of all the collection and prepare yourself to hold losta things in your hand until they distribute the bag to you so u can dump them all in. It's pretty heavy. :) That's all! hope this post was informative!

World Cup Fever

Hello. It has been some time b4 I last posted something and ppl commented that my blog is boring coz 4eva the same "First Post". haha... but seriously, I can't help it coz nothing interesting reallie happened. Btw, I just realised I don't know how to post pictures. Haha! So unless some1 teaches me, its going to be an all-words blog.

Oki...I don't know if any1 who reads my blog occassionally watches or is interested in the world cup (since its supposed to be such a big event), but although I don't have scv, I kinda follow up on the scores from the main site. So far, the giants have got it without much of trouble but this morning i saw last nite's scores were quite upsets. Ghana won Czech Republic?? and Italy drew with USA..?! gosh, I nv heard of Ghana AND I alwaiz thought Italy was supposed to be good as I alwaiz had the impression that USA plays superb rugby only. haha... well, lucky I didnt try my luck to buy any games from singapore poools and let them earn my money.

Seriously, I've given that suggestion some thought. I mean, since some of the teams are kinda "sure-win" type, even if its 1 pay 1.20, if u buy more, u still get to win 20cents x (say $30). that is about hahaa.. $6. Not that I like to gamble but since this world cup only comes once in 4 years, we should "participate" in it. However, I feel that you should not buy unless you are quite sure of a win. haha... mayb should go look at some of the odds. I remember last time some of the odds for a game was pretty good to bet on. If you buy both teams, and then pray that its not a draw, you will still earn some $. haha... i think thats what i did last world cup. But of coz ppl who are big gamblers will think my thinking will only allow me to win "peanuts". hehee, but hey, its for the fun of it. not for the $. the one problem with buying is that I dunno how to look at the card and draw the respective columns. haha... last time even hav to consult an uncle there. coz they all look so confusing. so paiseh. see how amateur i am. :)

Nx week is going to be a boring week as many ppl would have gone to work, that means nobody's online. unless for the first week of work, they are quite bored like some1. haha! all the best to those going to work. Have fun and hope you all have time to blog/come online when u start work. hehee...

First Entry

Finally! The first post of my first blog. Haha! This will be useful to update friends on what I am doing as I prepare to enter the working world. However, at this point of time, I don't think this will get updated often as I am at home most of the time and the things I do everyday is similar. Eat, sleep, watch teevee, read bookies, online, etc etc are just some of the common day to day things that I do. Heehee... If there really is anything interesting I watch on teevee or any movies I watch then maybe I will post them. :)
